Casual(TY)

How many times did Jesus ask God to heal someone? Anyone know? The answer is zero.

How many times did Jesus tell the disciples to ask God to heal someone? Same answer, zero.

We can often read into the scriptures what we want to see, or have been trained to see. But neither Jesus nor the disciples ever asked God to heal anyone. Why? Because healing is part of the covenant through the name of Jesus.

I am not saying we shouldn’t pray to the Father, especially for things that are outside our realm. But when it comes to provisions provided through the work of Jesus, we are not supposed to ask. Disease, poverty, and unrest are provided by the work of Jesus. He said he came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (whole/peace.) But people often do not realize what he said that in relation to, which is the first part of the verse, For the enemy comes but to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus work provided for healing, health, prosperity of soul.

Often we are content to ask God for these things….and let them go. Too many of us will ask God, and when we continue being sick, follow that up with, “God didn’t answer.” Tagging our Father with injustice like pin the tail on the donkey game. God cannot be unjust. I heard it put this way once, if you’re listening to the radio and cannot get any radio stations, you don’t start calling radio stations, you get your radio fixed. If we’re abiding in sickness, disease, poverty then their must be a reason, and that reason rests with us.

But we as a group of people, especially in America, are quick to drop the blame on God when sometimes He is saying, “Fight for yourself! I provided for this, and you have to take it” or even “You are in this state because you won’t repent, and I’m trying to get your attention.”

We are lax with our walk, we are lazy in prayer, and God will not be blamed. Our casual attitude toward the things of God is the reason many are casualties….we never realize that the root of casualty is the word casual, but that is exactly what God is saying, “Get on your face and find out why it isn’t working, find out what he is trying to teach you, find out what you are missing, because HE IS JUST. But he is also legally bound by his own Word….the disciples were given authority in Jesus name…Jesus also said to whoever (not just disciples) will speak to a mountain and command it to move, it will move.

Casual makes you a casualty.
